A skin care device is described with a portable base body (2) which has a skin care surface (4) and, outside the skin care surface (4), a receiving section (8), with a holding element (6) which is designed to be arranged on the receiving portion (8) of the base body (2) and thereby to bring a portion of a skin care element (12) to be arranged at least on a region of the skin care surface (4) into clamping engagement between itself and the receiving portion (8), and with locking means (10a, 10b) for releasably fastening the holding element (6) to the receiving portion (8) of the base body (2). The special feature of the invention is that the locking means (10a, 10b) are designed to bring the holding element (6) into contact with the receiving section (8) of the base body (2), at least in sections, by means of magnetic forces.

Skin care device according to at least one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the receiving section (8) is adjacent to the skin care surface (4).
Skin care device according to at least one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the receiving section (8) on the base body (2) encloses the skin care surface (4).
Skin care device according to at least one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the receiving section (8) on the base body (2) forms a recess relative to the skin care surface (4).
Skin care device according to at least one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the receiving section (8) is substantially strip-shaped.
Skin care device according to at least one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the base body (2) is provided with means for heating and/or cooling the skin care surface (4) and/or with means for applying vibrations to the base body (2) and in particular to the skin care surface (4) and/or with means for generating light radiation.
