The group of inventions relates to medical technology, and more particularly to variants of a device for pumping blood having a contactless magnetic coupling. In a first variant, the device comprises a multistage pump portion. The pump portion comprises a housing and a connecting shaft. Two axial stages containing impellers with curved blades, and a stator assembly are disposed on the connecting shaft. The device comprises a drive assembly with a sealed housing, a motor, and a drive shaft. The drive assembly comprises a magnetic coupling consisting of an outer driving half-coupling on the drive shaft of the drive assembly and an inner driven half-coupling on the end surface of the base of the impeller of the second stage. The drive assembly transmits torque to the connecting shaft of the pump portion from the motor. In a second variant, the drive assembly is situated outside the patient's body and comprises a flexible transmitting shaft situated inside the patient's body. Terminal magnetic half-couplings are rigidly fastened to the ends of the flexible shaft. The first half-coupling contacts with the inner driven half-coupling of the pump portion. The second half-coupling contacts with the outer driving half-coupling of the drive assembly. The technical result is a reduction in blood trauma, a reduction in the rate of rotation of the impellers, and a reduction in the overall dimensions of the device.
