Abstract
Modular pre-loaded implant subassemblies that can be packaged separately from a handle, which allows using any one of a plurality of separately packaged modular pre-loaded implants with a common handle.
Claims20
A method of assembling an implant subassembly and a handle subassembly, the method comprising:
- removing an implant subassembly from a first packaging, the implant subassembly comprising a proximal end and an implant in a collapsed state within a cartridge, wherein the implant subassembly comprises an implant flexible tube with a distal end adjacent the implant proximal end configured receive the implant;
- removing a handle subassembly from a second packaging, the handle subassembly comprising a handle and a handle tubular member in operable communication with a handle actuator, wherein actuation of the handle actuator causes axial movement of the handle tubular member;
- and
- locking the proximal end of the implant subassembly in place relative to the handle subassembly.

A kit for assembling an implant subassembly and a handle subassembly, the kit comprising:
- a first package comprising an implant subassembly, the implant subassembly comprising a proximal end and an implant in a collapsed state within a cartridge wherein the implant subassembly comprises an implant flexible tube with a distal end adjacent the implant proximal end configured receive the implant;
- a second package comprising a handle subassembly, the handle subassembly comprising a handle and a handle tubular member;
- wherein the implant subassembly is configured to be removed from the first package and the handle subassembly is configured to be removed from the second package;
- and
- wherein the locking mechanism is configured to lock the proximal end of the implant subassembly.

A method of assembling an implant subassembly and a handle subassembly, the method comprising:
- locking a proximal end of an implant subassembly into a distal end of a handle tubular member, through the handle tubular member, and into a handle of a handle subassembly;
- wherein the proximal end of the implant subassembly further comprises an implant in a collapsed state within a cartridge, and wherein the distal end of the implant subassembly comprises a flexible tube with a distal end adjacent the implant proximal end configured receive the implant;
- and
- wherein the handle subassembly handle and the handle tubular member are coupled to a handle actuator, wherein actuation of the handle actuator causes axial movement of the handle tubular member.
