Pump cassette with pulsation abatement

A pump cassette with pulsation abatement, the pump cassette comprising:

• a cassette housing including a first major wall and a second major wall spaced from the first major wall by a sidewall;
• the sidewall including a first lateral sidewall section and a second lateral sidewall section spaced by a first longitudinal sidewall section and a second longitudinal sidewall section;
• an input aperture is defined by the cassette housing and configured to receive a surgical solution during a medical procedure;
• an output aperture defined by the cassette housing and configured to expel the surgical solution during the medical procedure;
• and
• a flow path traveling upstream between the input aperture and the output aperture, the flow path comprising:
• an input flow path segment extending from the input aperture and at least partially along the first lateral sidewall section to the second longitudinal sidewall section;
• an output flow path segment extending at least partially along the second lateral sidewall section to the output aperture;
• and
• a flow path branch between the input aperture and the output aperture that extends to a cavity within the cassette housing for pulse abatement of a surgical solution.

A pump cassette with pressure sensing, the pump cassette comprising:

• a cassette housing including a first major wall and a second major wall spaced from the first major wall by a sidewall;
• an input aperture is defined by the cassette housing and configured to receive a surgical solution during a medical procedure;
• an output aperture is defined by the cassette housing and configured to expel the surgical solution during the medical procedure;
• a flow path defined between the input aperture and the output aperture and including a sensor segment;
• and
• at least two flexible membranes coupled to the sensor segment and in fluid communication with the flow path.
