Breast milk pump

A breast milk pump, comprising:

• a milk extraction assembly comprising a funnel configured to engage a breast of a user, said funnel comprising:
• a rigid portion formed of a first material having a first level of rigidity, the rigid portion having an internal surface facing an interior of the funnel and an opposite external surface, the rigid portion having at least one opening formed therewithin;
• and
• a flexible layer formed of a second material having a second level of rigidity lesser than the first level of rigidity, the flexible layer being over-molded over at least a majority of the internal surface of the rigid portion such that the over-molding increases a surface area of attachment between the flexible layer and the rigid portion as compared to an attachment along edges only, thereby imparting enhanced strength to the attachment between the flexible layer and the rigid portion;
• the flexible layer comprising a manipulable portion extending at least partially over the at least one opening and configured to be manipulated, via the at least one opening, by a stimulating mechanism of the breast milk pump, wherein the manipulable portion is configured to engage at least a part of the breast when manipulated;
• and
• a stimulating mechanism configured to manipulate the manipulable portion via the at least one opening.
