Claims22
A biogel comprising:
- a gelatin polymer formed by crosslinking of a first gelatin precursor and a second gelatin precursor, wherein the first gelatin precursor comprises one or more tetrazine groups and the second gelatin precursor comprises one or more olefin groups;
- and
- a biologically active material,
- wherein the first gelatin precursor has a structure of Formula (I):
- wherein:
- G1 is a gelatin protein, or a derivative or fragment thereof;
- L1 is a linking group selected from a bond, substituted or unsubstituted alkylene, or substituted or unsubstituted heteroalkylene;
- and
- R1 is hydrogen, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, substituted or unsubstituted heteroalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted heterocycloalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted aryl, or substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl,
- wherein the second gelatin precursor has a structure of Formula (II):
- wherein:
- G2 is a gelatin protein, or a derivative or fragment thereof;
- L2 is a linking group selected from a bond, substituted or unsubstituted alkylene, or substituted or unsubstituted heteroalkylene;
- Ring A is cycloalkenyl dienophile;
- Each R2 is independently hydrogen, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, substituted or unsubstituted heteroalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted heterocycloalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted aryl, or substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl, wherein two or more R2 may be same or different;
- or two or more R2 may join to form a substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted heterocycloalkyl, substituted or unsubstituted aryl, or substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl;
- and
- n2 is an integer from 0 to 6,
- wherein G1 and G2 may be same or different.
