Abstract
An ultraviolet (UV) generator includes: a tube forming a main body of the UV generator, where the tube includes titanium; a first end cap assembly coupled to a first end of the tube, where the first end cap assembly is formed of a first plurality of end cap portions; a second end cap assembly coupled to a second end of the tube opposite the first end, where the second end cap assembly is formed of a second plurality of end cap portions; and at least one UV lamp extending between the first end cap assembly and the second end cap assembly and positioned within an internal chamber of the tube.
Claims31
An ultraviolet (UV) generator, comprising:
- a tube forming a main body of the UV generator, wherein the tube is comprised of titanium;
- a first end cap assembly coupled to a first end of the tube, wherein the first end cap assembly is formed of a first plurality of end cap portions;
- a second end cap assembly coupled to a second end of the tube opposite the first end, wherein the second end cap assembly is formed of a second plurality of end cap portions;
- and
- at least one UV lamp extending between the first end cap assembly and the second end cap assembly and positioned within an internal chamber of the tube.
A method, comprising:
- providing a UV generator comprising a first end cap and a second end cap, wherein the first end cap and second end cap are at a first relative alignment, and one of the first end cap and second end cap is fluidly connectable to a source of fluid to be treated;
- and
- providing instructions to adjust the first relative alignment to a second relative alignment by:
- removing at least one of the first end cap or second end cap from a tube of the UV generator;
- and
- securing to the tube the at least one of the first end cap or second end cap that was removed at a second relative alignment different from the first relative alignment.
A method, comprising:
- providing a UV generator comprising a first end cap and a second end cap, wherein at least one of the first end cap and second end cap are at least partially rotatable relative to a central axis of the UV generator, the first end cap is fluidly couplable to a first pipe, and the second end cap is fluidly couplable to a second pipe;
- and
- reconfiguring alignment of at least one of the first end cap and the second end cap by rotating at least one of the first end cap and the second end cap based on a position of at least one of the first pipe and the second pipe.
