Abstract
The current disclosure relates to binding molecules targeting DGCR2 are provided, which may be include and agent, a drug or imaging agent. The conjugated binding molecules may be used as drug delivery systems targeting beta-cells, and may be used in treating beta-cell related disorders, such as diabetes. The conjugated binding molecules may be also used in diagnosis or medical imaging.
Claims18
A binding polypeptide that specifically binds DGCR2, wherein the DGCR2-binding polypeptide comprises a DGCR2 binding motif, DBM, which motif consists of the amino acid sequence selected from:
- (SEQ ID NO:
- 1)
- i) EQX3HARNEILX11LPNLNRMQX20X21AFIX25
- wherein, independently of each other,
- X3 is selected from T and Y;
- X11 is selected from Q and R;
- X20 is selected from K, R and H;
- X21 is selected from S, M, L or T;
- X25 is selected from R, Q, or K;
- and
- ii) an amino acid sequence which has at least 88% identity to the sequence defined in i), such as 92% or 96% identity thereto.
