Abstract
The present invention relates to a polysaccharide mixture comprising Ganoderma sessile polysaccharides (GSP), compositions and products that comprise the polysaccharide mixture of the present invention and methods altering the microbiota structure and function such as Short Chain Fatty Acid (SCFA) production by means of the polysaccharide mixture.

A polysaccharide mixture obtained by fermentation of Ganoderma sessile, wherein said fermentation comprises a step of concentrating a fermentation product by ultrafiltration.
The process of claim-16 or 17, wherein the carbon source is selected from a mixture of glucose and maltose at a ratio of 1:2 by weight and glucose and sucrose at a ratio of 1:2.
