A composition, comprising arecoline and benzoic acid, wherein a mass ratio of the benzoic acid to the arecoline is equal to or less than 1.
A product with an areca nut flavor, wherein the product comprises arecoline and benzoic acid, and wherein a mass ratio of the benzoic acid to the arecoline is equal to or less than 1.
