Abstract
Provided herein, in certain aspects, are compositions comprising micronized benzoyl peroxide, sodium hyaluronate, and bisabolol for clearing acne in a subject. Also provided herein, in certain aspects, are formulations comprising micronized benzoyl peroxide, sodium hyaluronate, and bisabolol for topical application to the skin of a subject having acne that provide effective acne clearance in the subject.

A composition comprising:
- i) micronized benzoyl peroxide at a concentration of between about 2.5% w/w to about 10.5% w/w;
- ii) sodium hyaluronate at a concentration of about 0.001% to about 0.1%;
- and
- iii) bisabolol at a concentration of about 0.001% to about 0.5%.

An acne clearance formulation comprising:
- i) micronized benzoyl peroxide at a concentration of between about 2.5% w/w to about 10.5% w/w;
- ii) sodium hyaluronate at a concentration of between about 0.001- to about 0.1%;
- and
- iii) bisabolol at a concentration of between about 0.001- to about 0.5%;
- wherein the acne clearance formulation is formulated as a cream, a gel, a gel-cream, a lotion, a solution, an emulsion, a suspension, or a serum, for topical application to facial skin of a subject in need thereof.

An acne clearance formulation comprising:
- i) micronized benzoyl peroxide at a concentration of between about 2.5% to about 10.5%, wherein the micronized benzoyl peroxide has a particle size of no greater than about 25 microns;
- ii) a form of hyaluronic acid selected from hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, sodium hyaluronate, sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer, or acetylated sodium hyaluronate, wherein the form of hyaluronic acid is at a concentration of between about 0.01- to about 0.1%;
- iii) bisabolol at a concentration of between about 0.01- to about 0.25%;
- iv) two or more humectants, wherein the two or more humectants comprise butylene glycol, cyclomethicone, dipropylene ethylhexylglycerin, glycol, glycerin, propylene glycol, sodium lactate, sorbitol, trehalose, xylitol, or sorbitol, or any combination thereof;
- v) two or more solvents;
- vi) one or more viscosity control agents;
- vii) a buffering agent;
- and
- viii) a preservative.
