Abstract
A cosmetic containing an alkyl-modified silicone and exhibiting an excellent emollient effect, soft focus effect, and feeling upon application, said cosmetic containing a silicone gel obtained by swelling the following (a) component with the following (b) component: (a) 5-80 mass % of a cross-linked silicone in which a silicone chain having a C8-30 alkyl branch is cross-linked with a silicone chain; and (b) 20-95 mass % of at least one oil agent selected from (b1) and (b2), where (b1) is a hydrocarbon oil having a boiling point of 190-260° C. and a kinematic viscosity at 25° C. of 1.5-10 mm2/s, and (b2) is an ester oil having an IOB value of 0.05-0.3 and a kinematic viscosity at 25° C. of 1.5-25 mm2/s.
Claims8
A cosmetic comprising a silicone gel in which the following component (a) is swollen with the following component (b):
- (a) a cross-linked silicone in which a silicone chain having an alkyl branch with 8 to 30 carbon atoms is cross-linked with a silicone chain:
- 5% to 80% by mass in the gel, and
- (b) one or more oil agents selected from the following (b1) and (b2):
- 20% to 95% by mass in the gel,
- (b1) a hydrocarbon oil with a boiling point in the range of 190° C. to 260° C. and a kinematic viscosity in the range of 1.5 to 10 mm2/s at 25° C., and
- (b2) an ester oil with an IOB value in the range of 0.05 to 0.3 and a kinematic viscosity in the range of 1.5 to 25 mm2/s at 25° C.
