Abstract
Client's Docket No. SK17129 A dolly apparatus for transporting individuals includes a frame with a platform. A pair of wheels is rotatably mounted to the frame. The wheels are rotatable around a shared axis and are positioned on opposite lateral sides of the platform. A chair is mounted on the frame and is positioned over the platform. A tilt mechanism is mounted to the frame and is configured to tilt the frame alternately forward and backward. A lift mechanism is mounted to the frame and is operable to move the chair between a lowered position and a raised position.
Claims13
A dolly apparatus for transporting an individual, the dolly apparatus comprising:
- a frame comprising a platform;
- a pair of wheels rotatably mounted to the frame, the pair of wheels being rotatable around a shared axis, the pair of wheels being positioned on opposite lateral sides of the platform;
- a chair mounted on the frame and positioned over the platform;
- and
- a tilt mechanism mounted to the frame, the tilt mechanism being configured to tilt the frame alternately forward and backward.
A dolly apparatus for transporting an individual, the dolly apparatus comprising:
- a frame comprising:
- a platform;
- a back member coupled to and extending upwardly from the platform, the back member being positioned near a back end of the platform;
- and
- a pair of handles coupled to a top end of the back member, the pair of handles extending rearwardly from the back member with respect to the platform;
- a pair of wheels rotatably mounted to the frame, the pair of wheels being rotatable around a shared axis, the pair of wheels being positioned on opposite lateral sides of the platform;
- a chair mounted on the frame, the chair being positioned over the platform, the chair having a seat and a backrest, the backrest being coupled to and extending upwardly from the seat, a resting surface of the backrest facing forwardly with respect to the platform, the chair being movable between a lowered position and a raised position with respect to the platform;
- a lift mechanism coupled to the chair and the frame, the lift mechanism being configured to move the chair between the lowered position and the raised position, the lift mechanism comprising a lift linear actuator;
- a tilt mechanism mounted to the frame, the tilt mechanism being configured to tilt the frame alternately forward and backward, the tilt mechanism comprising a caster and a tilt linear actuator, the tilt linear actuator being coupled to and extending between the caster and the back member of the frame;
- a controller operatively coupled to the lift mechanism and the tilt mechanism, the controller being mounted to the frame, the controller being positioned adjacent to one of the handles;
- a pair of armrests mounted to the frame, the pair of armrests being positioned on and extending forwardly from the back member, the pair of armrests being positioned opposite each other across the chair;
- and
- a pair of grips, each grip of the pair of grips being mounted on an associated armrest of the pair of armrests, each grip being positioned adjacent to a forward end of the associated armrest and extending upwardly from the associated armrest.
