Abstract
Embodiments include a valve leaflet for an implantable valve device comprising a leaflet body. The leaflet body comprising a free edge configured for coaptation with free edges of one or more other valve leaflets; and a root edge disposed opposite the free edge. The free edge defining an edge profile comprising a peak and valleys disposed on opposite sides of the peak. Other embodiments are also included herein.

A valve leaflet for an implantable valve device comprising:
- a leaflet body comprising:
- a coaptation edge configured for coaptation with coaptation edges of one or more other valve leaflets;
- and
- a root edge disposed opposite the coaptation edge;
- wherein the coaptation edge defines an edge profile comprising:
- a convex portion having a width that is less than a width of the coaptation edge;
- a first concave portion disposed on a first lateral side of the convex portion;
- and
- a second concave portion disposed on a second lateral side of the convex portion;
- wherein a width of the convex portion at one-half height relative to the first concave portion and the second concave portion is less than half of a width of the leaflet body.

An implantable valve comprising:
- a frame;
- and
- three valve leaflets attached to the frame, each valve leaflet comprising a leaflet body having a free edge configured for coaptation with free edges of one or more others of the three valve leaflets and a root edge disposed opposite the free edge;
- wherein the frame defines a non-circular shape;
- wherein a first of the three valve leaflets has a peak centered along a width of the first valve leaflet;
- and
- wherein a second of the three valve leaflets has a peak offset from a center line of the second valve leaflet.
