Abstract
Systems and methods described herein provide techniques for identifying a reproductive state of one or more subjects. The systems and methods, in some embodiments, processes data relating to movement activity and is used to identify the reproductive state of the subject. The systems and methods may use one or more machine learning models.
Claims31
A method of identifying a reproductive state in a female mammalian test subject, the method comprising:
- (a) measuring a level of movement activity of the female test subject in a first time period, wherein the movement activity is measured in the absence of a mating activity of the female test subject;
- (b) comparing the level of movement activity of the female test subject measured in the first time period with a control level of movement activity;
- and
- (c) determining a difference in the measured level of movement activity of the female test subject in the first time period compared to the control level of movement activity;
- wherein the presence of the determined difference assists in identifying the reproductive state in the female test subject.

A computer-implemented method of identifying a reproductive state in a female mammalian test subject, the method comprising:
- (a) receiving imaging data representing a plurality of images capturing movement activity of the female test subject, wherein the movement activity images are captured in the absence of a mating activity of the female test subject;
- (b) measuring, using the imaging data, a level of movement activity of the female test subject in a first time period;
- (c) comparing the level of movement activity measured in the first time period with a control level of movement activity;
- and
- (d) determining a difference in the measured level of movement activity of the female test subject in the first time period compared to the control level of movement activity;
- wherein the presence of the determined difference assists in identifying the reproductive state in the female test subject.
