Intraoral scanning system

An intraoral scanning system comprising:

• an intraoral scanner configured for obtaining images of a dental object, wherein the intraoral scanner comprises:
• a projector unit configured for illuminating the dental object,
• a camera unit coupled to the projector unit and configured for acquiring images of the dental object,
• a scanner housing, wherein the projector unit and the camera unit are arranged inside the scanner housing, and
• a button interface arranged on the scanner housing, wherein the button interface comprises:
• a first button having a contact surface with a first tactile characteristic, wherein the first button is configured for being activated when a first activation weight is applied on the contact surface of the first button, and
• a second button having a contact surface with a second tactile characteristic, wherein the second button is configured for being activated when a second activation weight is applied on the contact surface of the second button,
• wherein the first tactile characteristic is different from the second tactile characteristic, and/or wherein the first activation weight is different than the second activation weight.
