Abstract
The present invention relates to a dishwasher and a control method therefor, the dishwasher driving both a regeneration heater and a washing water heater such that a regeneration heater driving interval for dryness of the moisture absorbent and a washing water heater driving interval overlap, when a resistance characteristic varying according to changes in an object to be heated is used so that the washing water heater arranged to be exposed to a washing space of a tub is exposed to air, and thus washing water can be heated and a moisture absorbent can be regenerated effectively and within a short time even for a washing course having a short washing cycle time.
Claims20
A dishwasher comprising:
- a tub forming a washing space in which tableware is accommodated;
- a moisture absorption drying device provided with a moisture absorbent absorbing water vapor contained in air discharged from the tub, and a regeneration heater heating air to be supplied to the moisture absorbent to dry the moisture absorbent;
- a washing water heater disposed inside the tub to be exposed to the washing space, and heating washing water to be supplied to the washing space;
- a washing pump supplying the washing water to the washing space while pressurizing the washing water;
- a power supply part generating power to be supplied to the regeneration heater, the washing water heater, and the washing pump;
- and
- a controller determining whether to supply power from the power supply part to the regeneration heater, the washing water heater, and the washing pump,
- wherein the controller performs a step of proceeding with an individual driving process in which power is supplied to each of the regeneration heater and the washing water heater in such a manner that it is not supplied to them simultaneously, or a simultaneous driving process in which power is supplied to the regeneration heater and the washing water heater simultaneously.
A control method for a dishwasher comprising a tub forming a washing space in which tableware is accommodated, a moisture absorption drying device provided with a moisture absorbent absorbing water vapor contained in air discharged from the tub, and a regeneration heater heating air to be supplied to the moisture absorbent to dry the moisture absorbent, a washing water heater disposed inside the tub to be exposed to the washing space, and heating washing water to be supplied to the washing space, a washing pump supplying the washing water to the washing space while pressurizing the washing water, and a power supply part generating power to be supplied to the regeneration heater, the washing water heater, and the washing pump, the control method comprising:
- a step of proceeding with an individual driving process in which power is supplied to each of the regeneration heater and the washing water heater in such a manner that it is not supplied to them simultaneously, or a simultaneous driving process in which power is supplied to the regeneration heater and the washing water heater simultaneously.
