Abstract
A system for emptying particles sucked into a dust container of a stick vacuum cleaner where no vertical movement of the vacuum cleaner is required when placing the vacuum cleaner in a docking station for initiating an emptying procedure of the dust container. The dust container has at least one curved side wall and an opening located on the curved side wall thereof where the opening is closable by a lid. The docking station has a suction opening configured to match with the opening of the dust container when the vacuum cleaner is positioned in the docking station. The suction opening of the docking station can be positioned at a height that matches the height of the opening of the dust container such that the interface between the two openings are at the same height.

A system for emptying a dust container of a vacuum cleaner comprising:
- a stick vacuum cleaner comprising:
- a handle;
- a suction nozzle;
- a battery powered motor;
- a suction fan driven by the battery powered motor;
- and
- a dust container for collecting particles sucked into the stick vacuum cleaner, wherein
- the dust container comprises at least one curved side wall and an opening located on the curved side wall, wherein the opening is closable by a lid;
- and
- a docking station, wherein the docking station comprises a suction opening configured to match with the opening of the dust container when the vacuum cleaner is positioned in the docking station.
A vacuum cleaner system comprising:
- a vacuum cleaner comprising:
- a handle;
- a suction nozzle;
- a motor;
- a suction fan driven by the motor;
- and
- a dust container for collecting particles sucked into the vacuum cleaner, wherein the dust container comprises at least one curved side wall and an opening located on the curved side wall, wherein the opening is closable by a lid;
- and
- a docking station comprising a suction opening configured to mate with the opening of the dust container when the vacuum cleaner is positioned in the docking station.
