Abstract

An assembly that includes a cutting board with one or more first magnets embedded below a cutting surface of the cutting board. The assembly may also include a support block comprising a second magnet or ferromagnetic metal embedded within the support block. The second magnet or ferromagnetic metal may be configured to be attracted to any of the one or more first magnets of the cutting board. The support block is also configured to support a food item to be sliced. The cutting board may include a lip that extends along a perimeter of the cutting board and a spout may be defined within the lip. The spout may span from the cutting surface to a top edge of the lip. The lip and the spout may be comprised of a rigid silicone material and the lip may have a height between one to three inches.
