Adjustable pizza oven

A cooking apparatus comprising:

• at least one wall defining an interior volume;
• a roof connected to the at least one wall;
• a cooking chamber within the interior volume and having a cooking chamber top and a cooking chamber bottom;
• a cooking surface in the cooking chamber and near the cooking chamber bottom;
• a heating chamber located in the interior volume, below the cooking chamber, and configured to provide heat to the cooking chamber;
• a plurality of apertures in the cooking chamber bottom to enable a radial heat flow from the heating chamber to the cooking chamber;
• a chimney extending into the cooking chamber through the roof;
• and
• a movable ceiling having a ceiling hole that circles the chimney, which movable ceiling is located near the cooking chamber top and configured to move vertically within the cooking chamber.
