Abstract
The present disclosure provides a system for regulating a temperature of a portion of an article of furniture, and methods of use thereof. The system may comprise at least one sensor configured to detect a biological signal of a user of the article of furniture. The system may comprise a temperature control device configured to change the temperature of the portion of the article of furniture.

A sleep system for regulating a temperature of a bed device, comprising:
- a mattress cover;
- a reservoir configured to contain a liquid;
- a channel in fluid communication with the reservoir;
- one or more temperature sensors;
- a thermoelectric engine comprising one or more thermoelectric units and one or more fans;
- a pump configured to circulate the liquid through the channel;
- a piezoelectric sensor disposed within the mattress cover and configured to measure biometric data;
- an analog-to-digital converter configured to convert analog signals from the piezoelectric sensor to digital signals;
- wire leads indirectly or directly coupling the piezoelectric sensor to the analog-to-digital converter;
- and
- a memory coupled to at least one processor, the at least one processor configured to receive the digital signals from the analog-to-digital converter and cause the thermoelectric engine to regulate the temperature of the liquid based on a temperature set point.
A method for regulating a temperature of a bed device, comprising:
- receiving, by one or more processors, digital signals from an analog-to-digital converter that converts analog signals from a piezoelectric sensor disposed within a mattress cover, the piezoelectric sensor configured to measure biometric data, wherein wire leads couple the piezoelectric sensor to the analog-to-digital converter;
- and
- causing, by the one or more processors, a thermoelectric engine comprising one or more thermoelectric units and one or more fans to regulate a temperature of a liquid based on a temperature set point, wherein the liquid is contained in a reservoir and a channel is in fluid communication with the reservoir, and wherein a pump is configured to circulate the liquid through the channel.
