Abstract
The present disclosure provides a system for regulating a temperature of a portion of an article of furniture, and methods of use thereof. The system may comprise different zones. The system may comprise a temperature control device configured to change the temperature of the portion of the article of furniture.
Claims30
A sleep system for regulating a temperature of a bed device, comprising:
- a mattress cover;
- a reservoir configured to contain a liquid;
- a first channel fluidically coupled to the reservoir;
- a second channel fluidically coupled to the reservoir;
- one or more temperature sensors;
- a thermoelectric engine comprising a first thermoelectric unit, a second thermoelectric unit, and one or more fans;
- at least one pump configured to circulate a first portion of the liquid in the first channel and a second portion of the liquid in the second channel;
- and
- a memory coupled to at least one processor, the at least one processor configured to cause the thermoelectric engine to:
- regulate a first temperature of the first portion of the liquid in a first zone of the mattress cover based on a first temperature set point for a first time period;
- and
- regulate a second temperature of the second portion of the liquid in a second zone of the mattress cover based on a second temperature set point for a second time period.

A method for regulating a temperature of a bed device, comprising:
- receiving, by one or more processors, a first temperature set point for a first time period and a second temperature set point for a second time period;
- and
- causing, by the one or more processors, a thermoelectric engine comprising a first thermoelectric unit, a second thermoelectric unit, and one or more fans to regulate a first temperature of a first portion of a liquid in a first zone of a mattress cover based on the first temperature set point for the first time period and regulate a second temperature of a second portion of the liquid in a second zone of the mattress cover based on the second temperature set point for the second time period, wherein a reservoir contains the liquid, wherein a first channel and a second channel are fluidically coupled to the reservoir, and wherein at least one pump circulates the liquid in the first channel and the second channel.
