Abstract
A brush assembly comprises a brush holder rotatably drivable about an axis and an annular brush mechanically coupled or couplable to the brush holder for joint rotation therewith and having an annular bristle array of radially outwardly projecting bristles. This brush holder is formed with axially throughgoing with holes for air ventilation and cooling. According to the invention there are respective air scoops at least partially covering the holes and generating an axially flowing air stream through the bristle holder.

A brush assembly comprising:
- a brush holder rotatably drivable about an axis;
- an annular brush mechanically coupled or couplable to the brush holder for joint rotation therewith and having an annular bristle array of radially outwardly projecting bristles, the brush holder being formed with axially throughgoing with holes for air ventilation and cooling;
- and
- respective air scoops at least partially covering the holes and generating an axially flowing air stream through the bristle holder.
