Abstract
A sole structure includes a support frame including (i) a first plurality of alternating support structures defining a first upper support structure and a first lower support structure adjacent to the first upper support structure and (ii) a second plurality of alternating support structures defining a second upper support structure disposed adjacent to the first lower support structure and a second lower support structure disposed adjacent to each of the first upper support structure and the second upper support structure, each of the support structures including one or more struts configured to flex when a compressive force is applied to the support frame.

A sole structure for an article of footwear, the sole structure comprising:
- a support frame including (i) a first plurality of alternating support structures defining a first upper support structure and a first lower support structure adjacent to the first upper support structure and (ii) a second plurality of alternating support structures defining a second upper support structure disposed adjacent to the first lower support structure and a second lower support structure disposed adjacent to each of the first upper support structure and the second upper support structure, each of the support structures including one or more struts configured to flex when a compressive force is applied to the support frame.
A sole structure for an article of footwear, the sole structure comprising:
- a support frame including (i) a plurality of first rows of alternating support structures arranged in series along a longitudinal direction of the sole structure and each including a first upper support structure and a first lower support structure adjacent to the first upper support structure and (ii) a plurality of second rows of alternating support structures each disposed between adjacent ones of the first rows and including a second upper support structure disposed adjacent to the first lower support structures and a second lower support structure disposed adjacent to each of the first upper support structures and the second upper support structure, each of the support structures including one or more struts configured to flex when a compressive force is applied to the support frame.
A support frame for a sole structure of an article of footwear, the support frame comprising:
- a central frame;
- a first row of alternating support structures extending from the central frame and defining a first upper support structure and a first lower support structure adjacent to the first upper support structure, each of the support structures of the first row of alternating support structures including one or more struts configured to flex when a compressive force is applied to the support frame;
- and
- a second row of alternating support structures extending from the central frame and defining a second upper support structure disposed adjacent to the first lower support structure and a second lower support structure disposed adjacent to each of the first upper support structure and the second upper support structure, each of the support structures of the second row of alternating support structures including one or more struts configured to flex when a compressive force is applied to the support frame.
