Abstract

A cap and cord combination worn by a user, and related method. The combination includes an interchangeable decorative cord located along a front of the cap and a cap shell. The shell includes a brim attached to the front of the cap and a headband attached at a joint to the cap shell. The headband is positioned against the user's head when the cap is worn by the user and a channel is formed therebetween. The cord is securely and temporarily retained along the brim adjacent the cap shell by removably securing ends of the cord to anchor zones of the cap. The anchor zones are located inside the cap shell in the channel formed between the headband and the cap shell. The ends of the cord are temporarily connected with a left anchor and the right end of the cord is temporarily connected with a right anchor.

Dependent claims

A cap and cord combination worn by a user comprising:

an interchangeable decorative cord located along a front of the cap;
a cap shell including a brim attached to the front of the cap and a headband attached at a joint to the cap shell and located adjacent an inside surface of the cap shell, the headband positioned against the user's head when the cap is worn by the user and a channel formed between the headband and cap shell adjacent to the headband;
the interchangeable decorative cord being securely and temporarily retained along the brim adjacent the cap shell by removably securing (i) a left end of the cord to a left anchor zone of the cap and (ii) a right end of the cord to a right anchor zone of the cap, wherein each of the left anchor zone and the right anchor zone is located inside the cap shell in the channel formed between the headband and the cap shell;
and,
wherein removably securing comprises the left end of the interchangeable decorative cord temporarily connected with a left anchor and the right end of the interchangeable decorative cord temporarily connected with a right anchor.

A method of using a cap and cord combination worn by a user comprising:

locating an interchangeable decorative cord along a front of the cap;
providing a cap shell including a brim attached to the front of the cap and a headband attached at a joint to the cap shell and located adjacent an inside surface of the cap shell;
positioning the headband against the user's head when the cap is worn by the user and forming a channel between the headband and cap shell adjacent to the headband;
securely and temporarily retaining the interchangeable decorative cord along the brim adjacent the cap shell by removably securing (i) a left end of the cord to a left anchor zone of the cap and (ii) a right end of the cord to a right anchor zone of the cap, wherein each of the left anchor zone and the right anchor zone is located inside the cap shell in the channel formed between the headband and the cap shell;
and,
wherein removably securing comprises temporarily connecting the left end of the interchangeable decorative cord with a left anchor and the right end of the interchangeable decorative cord with a right anchor.
