Abstract

A hospital gown device with medical device pocket is provided. The device is comprised of a hospital gown designed to enhance patient care during hospitalization and postoperative recovery. The device comprises a body comprised of a longitudinal back opening comprising one or more tie closure assemblies positioned along various regions including the back waist and upper back. One or more shoulder closure assemblies are also provided to allow access across the upper torso without disturbing attached medical devices. The device further comprises at least one pouch configured to house a medical drainage container, infusion pump, or telemetry unit, which may be located on the interior or exterior surface of the gown or configured for bidirectional access. The pouch comprises one or more openings allowing selective access to medical devices attached to the user from inside or outside the gown.

A hospital gown device with medical device pocket comprising:

a body comprised of a back opening;
a tie closure assembly comprising a first fastener and a second fastener;
a shoulder closure assembly comprising a third fastener and a fourth fastener;
and
a pouch positioned on an exterior surface of the body, the pouch comprising a first opening on an exterior surface of the pouch and a second opening on the body allowing bidirectional access to an interior space of the pouch from the exterior surface of the body or an interior surface of the body.
