Aerosol generation system

An aerosol generation system comprising an aerosol generation device and an aerosol generating consumable, wherein the aerosol generation device comprises:

• a first wall and a second wall defining a cavity therebetween for receiving the aerosol generating consumable;
• and
• a heater comprising a first substrate with a first heater track disposed thereon and a second substrate with a second heater track disposed thereon, the first substrate defining at least a portion of the first wall, the second substrate defining at least a portion of the second wall, wherein a layout of the first heater track is different than a layout of the second heater track, and
• wherein the aerosol generating consumable comprises an aerosol forming substance having a set of one or more ridges on a first side of the aerosol forming substance, wherein at least a portion of the one or more ridges aligns with the first heater track layout when the aerosol generating consumable is inserted in the cavity in a first orientation.
