Abstract
An aerosol-generating article is provided, including: a mouthpiece portion and an aerosol forming substrate portion; and an outer wrapper configured to connect the mouthpiece portion and the aerosol forming substrate portion to form the aerosol-generating article, at least a portion of the outer wrapper being provided with a halochromic portion.

- a mouthpiece portion and an aerosol forming substrate portion;
- and
- an outer wrapper configured to connect the mouthpiece portion and the aerosol forming substrate portion to form the aerosol-generating article,
- wherein at least a portion of the outer wrapper is provided with a halochromic portion.

A method of manufacturing an aerosol-generating article, comprising:
- providing at least a mouthpiece portion and an aerosol-forming substrate portion;
- providing an outer wrapper;
- and
- connecting the mouthpiece portion and the aerosol-forming substrate portion by wrapping the mouthpiece portion and the aerosol-forming substrate portion with the outer wrapper to form the aerosol-generating article,
- wherein the outer wrapper is provided with a halochromic portion.
