Abstract
The heat-sterilized milkcontaining beverage has reduced deterioration odor. The heat-sterilized milk-containing beverage contains epigallocatechin and inorganic salts including a magnesium salt, and the content of epigallocatechin in the beverage is 0.1-20.0 mg/100 ml and the content of magnesium in the beverage is 0.1-20.0 mg/100 ml. For example, the milk-containing beverage can be packed in a container such as a transparent container.
Claims4
A heat-sterilized, milk-containing beverage comprising a milk component and epigallocatechin, wherein:
- (i) the epigallocatechin content is 0.1 to 20.0 mg/100 ml;
- and
- (ii) the milk-containing beverage further comprises inorganic salts including a magnesium salt, and has a magnesium content of 0.5 to 8.0 mg/100 ml.
