Abstract
This document relates to methods and materials for a method for extending the viable preservation of a donor organ, comprising perfusing a donor organ with a first solution comprising one or more of a mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist (MRA) and a Brd4-targeting compound; and perfusing the donor organ with a second solution for an amount of time prior to transplant to a recipient subject.
Claims20
A method for extending the viable preservation of a donor organ, the method comprising:
- perfusing a donor organ with a first solution comprising one or more of a mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist (MRA) and a Brd4-targeting compound;
- and
- perfusing the donor organ with a second solution for an amount of time prior to transplant to a recipient subject.
A method of preserving a donor organ, the method comprising:
- combining one or more of a mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist (MRA) and a Brd4-targeting compound with HTK solution to generate a first solution;
- perfusing the donor organ with the first solution using cold perfusion techniques at a temperature of about 2° C. to about 15° C.;
- perfusing the donor organ with a second solution, wherein the donor organ is continuously perfused with the second solution for an amount of time prior to transplant to a recipient subject;
- and
- preparing the donor organ for transplantation to the recipient subject.
A method of extending donor organ viability for transplantation to a recipient subject, the method comprising:
- positioning a donor organ in a receptacle comprising a first solution comprising one or more of a mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist (MRA) and a Brd4-targeting compound;
- perfusing the donor organ with the first solution for a first amount of time;
- removing the first solution from the donor organ;
- contacting the donor organ with a second solution for a second amount of time;
- and
- preparing the donor organ for transplantation to the recipient subject after the second amount of time.
