The photovoltaic assembly comprises N cell strings, which are connected in series, wherein a first cell string is not connected in parallel to a bypass module, a second cell string is connected in parallel to a bypass module, there is at least one first cell string that is not provided with a corresponding bypass module, which is connected in parallel thereto, and the total number of cells in the first cell string is not less than the total number of cells in the second cell string, such that an output current of the first cell string is not greater than an output current of the second cell string, and an output voltage of the first cell string is not less than an output voltage of the second cell string.
