Abstract
A server tray is provided that includes a sensing element and a controller circuit. The sensing element is configured to detect initiation of a power supply removal. The controller circuit is configured to initiate a controlled power down sequence for the server tray responsive to a defined eject state being detected by the sensing element.
Claims20
A server tray comprising:
- a sensing element configured to detect initiation of a power supply removal;
- and
- a controller circuit configured to initiate a controlled power down sequence for the server tray responsive to a defined eject state being detected by the sensing element.
A processing system comprising:
- a server rack;
- one or more server trays supported within the server rack, wherein at least one server tray of the one or more server trays comprises:
- a sensing element configured to detect initiation of a power supply removal;
- and
- a controller circuit configured to initiate a controlled power down sequence for the at least one server tray responsive to a defined eject state being detected by the sensing element.
2 more elements
A method comprising:
- receiving a power sequencing control signal responsive to a defined eject state being detected by a sensing element configured to detect initiation of a power supply removal;
- and
- initiating a controlled power down sequence for the server tray based at least in part on the power sequencing control signal.
