Technologies for directly paralleled electronic devices include an electronic device with a substrate, such as a printed circuit board (PCB), having a top surface and a bottom surface. One or more semiconductor devices such as transistors, diodes, thyristors, or other power electronics are coupled to the top surface of the substrate, and another group of one or more semiconductor devices are coupled to the bottom surface. The substrate further includes conductive traces electrically coupled to terminals of the semiconductor devices and electrically coupled together by through-layer vias. The substrate includes planar layers stacked vertically, and the conductive traces and semiconductor devices on the top surface and the bottom surface are coextensive when viewed from above the substrate. The device may be a half-bridge inverter or a full-bridge inverter. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
