Abstract
The disclosure generally pertains to procedures, methods, architectures, apparatus, systems, devices, and/or computer program products for, and/or directed to, ranging of a client Wireless Transmit Unit (WTRU) with authorization of Sidelink (SL) positioning.
Claims21
A first wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), comprising:
- circuitry including any of a processor, memory, transmitter and receiver, the circuitry configured to
- receive first information indicating a request to check proximity between the first WTRU and a second WTRU, the first information comprising an indication of a sidelink (SL) positioning service and information associated with the first WTRU and the second WTRU;
- determine that the first WTRU is in proximity of the second WTRU;
- transmit second information comprising an indication that the first WTRU is in proximity of the second WTRU;
- establish a PC5 connection with a SL positioning client WTRU that issued the request;
- receive, from the SL positioning client WTRU, third information indicating a SL positioning service request for ranging, wherein the third information comprises information associated with the first WTRU, information associated with the second WTRU, and information associated with the third WTRU;
- and
- determine, based on an authorization check, that the SL positioning client WTRU is authorized to receive positioning information associated with the first and second WTRUs;
- and
- perform a ranging operation with the second WTRU;
- and
- transmit a SL positioning response message, to the SL positioning client WTRU, indicating results of the ranging operation.

A method, implemented by a first wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), the method comprising:
- receiving first information indicating a request to check proximity between the first WTRU and a second WTRU, the first information comprising an indication of a sidelink (SL) positioning service and information associated with the first WTRU and the second WTRU;
- determining that the first WTRU is in proximity of the second WTRU;
- transmitting second information comprising an indication that the first WTRU is in proximity of the second WTRU;
- on
- establishing a PC5 connection with a SL positioning client WTRU that issued the request;
- receiving, from the SL positioning client WTRU, third information indicating a SL positioning service request for ranging, wherein the third information comprises information associated with the first WTRU, information associated with the second WTRU, and information associated with the third WTRU;
- determining, based on an authorization check, that the SL positioning client WTRU is authorized to receive positioning information associated with the first and second WTRUs;
- and
- performing a ranging operation with the second WTRU;
- and
- transmitting a SL positioning response message, to the SL positioning client WTRU, indicating results of the ranging operation.
