Method and apparatus of supporting network optimization

An apparatus for wireless communication, comprising:

• at least one memory;
• and
• at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory and configured to cause the apparatus to:
• receive, from a first radio access network (RAN) node by a second RAN node, a first message requesting first information related to network optimization operations associated with one or more cells of the first RAN node, wherein each network optimization operation is related to a cell of the one or more cells and is to be performed before or after handovers in the cell;
• and
• transmit, from the second RAN node, a second message in response to the first message.

A method performed by a first radio access network (RAN) node, the method comprising:

• transmitting to a second RAN node a first message requesting first information related to network optimization operations associated with one or more cells of the first RAN node, wherein each network optimization operation is related to a cell of the one or more cells;
• receiving, from the second RAN node, a second message in response to the first message;
• and
• determining to perform network optimization based on the second message before or after handovers in each cell of the one or more cells.
