Systems and methods for bonded and vetted phone transmissions

A method comprising:

• receiving, by a first device, a first phone call from a second device;
• determining, by the first device, that a phone number associated with the second device is not part of a preauthorized list of phone numbers;
• determining, by the first device, whether a current location of the second device is within a predetermined geographic area, wherein the predetermined geographic area is associated with a user of the first device;
• determining, by the first device, whether the current location of the second device is proximate to a current location of one or more preauthorized vehicles, wherein the one or more preauthorized vehicles are associated with a user of the first device;
• and
• allowing, by the first device, the first phone call to proceed if the current location of the second device is within the predetermined geographic area or if the current location of the second device is proximate to the current location of one or more preauthorized vehicles.

A vehicle comprising:

• an automotive computer including a communication interface configured to communicate over a mobile phone network;
• and
• a memory device coupled to a vehicle control unit and storing instructions that, when executed by the controller, causes the automotive computer to:
• receive a first phone call from a first device;
• determine that a phone number associated with the first device is not part of a preauthorized list of phone numbers;
• place the first phone call on hold;
• send a first message to the first device, the first message instructing a user of the first device to purchase a bond;
• receive a second message indicating that the user of the first device has purchased the bond;
• and
• allowing the first phone call to proceed based on the bond being purchased.
