Abstract
Image processing using cinematic mode video flows is described. A method includes obtaining a set of video frames from an image sensor at 240 frames per second, warping a defined number of frames using a reference frame to generate warped frames, wherein the defined number of frames and the reference frame are from the set of video frames, stacking the warped frames using a repurposed high dynamic range component to output a stacked frame, and processing the stacked frame at 24 frames per second.
Claims20
A method for use in an image capture device, the method comprising:
- obtaining a set of video frames from an image sensor at 240 frames per second;
- warping a defined number of frames using a reference frame to generate warped frames, wherein the defined number of frames and the reference frame are from the set of video frames;
- stacking the warped frames using a repurposed high dynamic range component to output a stacked frame;
- and
- processing the stacked frame at 24 frames per second.
An image capture device, comprising:
- an image sensor configured to detect a set of video frames at 240 frames per second;
- a warping engine configured to warp a defined number of frames using a reference frame to generate warped frames, wherein the defined number of frames and the reference frame are from the set of video frames;
- a repurposed high dynamic range component configured to average the warped frames to output a frame;
- and
- a post-stacking processing component configured to process the frame at 24 frames per second.
A method for use in an image capture device, the method comprising:
- obtaining a set of video frames from an image sensor at a first frame rate;
- warping a defined number of frames using a reference frame to generate warped frames, wherein the defined number of frames and the reference frame are from the set of video frames;
- averaging the warped frames using a repurposed high dynamic range component to output a stacked frame;
- and
- processing the stacked frame at a second frame rate, wherein the first frame rate is greater than the second frame rate.
