Projection Unit on Board a Vehicle, Vehicle and Method

A projection device on board a vehicle, comprising:

• a projection module with which a first visual representation is generated by projecting onto a surface in a passenger compartment,
• wherein the projection device is configured to produce and/or coordinate a combined overall representation in which:
• the first visual representation is projected onto the surface in the passenger compartment, and
• a different, second visual representation is reproduced elsewhere in the passenger compartment,
• wherein the projection device and/or the projection module comprises a coordination interface via which a coordination signal relating to the first and/or the second visual representation is transmitted between the projection device and the vehicle.

A method for generating and/or coordinating an overall visual representation on board a vehicle, the method comprising the steps of:

• providing a vehicle, in a passenger compartment of which at least one visual representation is reproducible;
• setting up a projection device, containing a projection module with which a first visual representation is generated by projecting onto a surface in the passenger compartment on board the vehicle;
• transmitting a coordination signal relating to the first visual representation and/or a second visual representation between the projection device and the vehicle via a coordination interface;
• and
• generating and/or coordinating a combined overall representation in which the first visual representation is projected by the projection device onto the surface in the passenger compartment and, elsewhere in the passenger compartment, a different, second visual representation is reproduced via the projection device using the coordination signal.
