Electronic device and method for blocking call

A method of operating an electronic device, the method comprising:

• storing a blocked number list;
• identifying a phone number related to a first message based on reception of the first message for an incoming call;
• identifying whether the phone number related to the first message is included in the blocked number list;
• and
• transmitting a second message rejecting the incoming call to an external device in a state in which at least any one operation among operations for a call connection is not performed, based on the phone number related to the first message being included in the blocked number list.

A non-transitory storage medium, comprising:

• a memory in which a blocked number list is stored,
• wherein the memory stores instructions, and the instructions, when executed individually and/or collectively by a processor, cause the electronic device to:
• store a blocked number list;
• identify a phone number related to a first message based on reception of the first message for an incoming call;
• identify whether the phone number related to the first message is included in the blocked number list;
• and
• transmit a second message rejecting the incoming call to an external device in a state in which at least any one operation among operations for a call connection is not performed, based on the phone number related to the first message being included in the blocked number list.
