Subscriber station for a serial bus system, and method for communication in a serial bus system

A bus system, comprising:

• a bus;
• and
• at least two subscriber stations, which are connected to one another via the bus in such a way that the at least two subscriber stations can communicate with one another serially, wherein one of the at least two subscriber stations is a subscriber station including:
• a communication control device configured to control serial communication of the subscriber station with another subscriber station of the bus system and to evaluate at least one signal received from a bus of the bus system based on a frame, in which a bit time in a first communication phase can differ from a bit time in a second communication phase, and
• an enable all frame formats (EAFF) module configured to perform a validity check for a frame transmitted to the bus by the subscriber station or received from the bus,
• wherein the validity check is configured to accept more than one format for frames on the bus as valid if an error signaling, with which the subscriber station can signal an error in the frame checked for validity on the bus, is switched off, and
• at least one subscriber station of the at least two subscriber stations is a responder subscriber station;
• wherein each of the at least two subscriber stations also includes a transmitting/receiving device configured to transmit a transmit signal to the bus of the bus system and/or to receive a signal from the bus of the bus system.
