New radio data transmissions with low-density parity-check codes

A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) comprising:

• a processor, memory, and a transceiver which are configured to:
• determine whether data for transmission is associated with a first transport block size (TBS) type or a second TBS type,
• determine a TBS according to a first procedure using a look-up table or formula based on the data being associated with the first TBS type, or determine the TBS according to a second procedure using an intermediate TBS according to information associated with two Low-Density Parity Check (LDPC) base graphs based on the data being associated with the second TBS type, wherein a quantization step (QS) is determined according to which of the two LDPC base graphs is supported;
• and
• transmit data using the determined TBS.

A method implemented by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), the method comprising:

• determining whether data for transmission is associated with a first transport block size (TBS) type or a second TBS type;
• determining a TBS according to a first procedure using a look-up table or formula based on the data being associated with the first TBS type, or determine the TBS according to a second procedure using an intermediate TBS according to information associated with two Low-Density Parity Check (LDPC) base graphs based on the data being associated with the second TBS type, wherein a quantization step (QS) is determined according to which of the two LDPC base graphs is supported;
• and
• transmitting data using the determined TBS.
