A system for a radio frequency power amplifier system is provided. The system includes a splitter configured to divide an input signal into a plurality of sub-inputs of same frequency and nominal amplitude, a first phase shift network configured to apply phase offsets to the sub-inputs, such that the sub-inputs are phase-shifted relative to each other, at least four parallel arranged sub-amplifiers, the parallel arranged sub-amplifiers configured to be driven by the sub-inputs and generate sub-outputs, a second phase shift network configured to apply the phase offsets inversely to the sub-outputs, such that a total phase offset is equivalent for each of the sub-amplifiers, and a combiner configured to combine the sub-outputs into an output signal. Each of the sub-amplifiers is presented with a different complex load impedance under mismatched load conditions.
