Abstract
The disclosed concepts relate to a power converter comprising a plurality of converter paths. Each converter path comprises an input node, an output node, a first winding, and a second winding. The first winding is connected in series between the input node and the second winding, and the second winding is connected in series between the first winding and the output node. Each converter path is configured to conduct current in a same direction between the input node and the output node. Further, each first winding of the converter paths is inductively coupled to a second winding of a different converter path to form a respective transformer.

A power converter comprising:
- a plurality of converter paths, each converter path comprising an input node, an output node, a first winding, and a second winding, wherein the first winding is connected in series between the input node and the second winding, and the second winding is connected in series between the first winding and the output node, wherein each converter path is configured to conduct current in a same direction between the input node and the output node;
- wherein each first winding of the converter paths is inductively coupled to a second winding of a different converter path to form a respective transformer;
- and
- wherein a magnetizing inductance of each transformer is at least ten times greater than a leakage inductance of the respective transformer.
A power converter comprising:
- a first input node;
- a second input node;
- a first output node;
- a second output node;
- a first power converter path including a first primary winding connected in series with a first secondary winding between the first input node and the second input node, the first power converter path operative to convey first current between the first input node and first output node;
- a second power converter path including a second primary winding connected in series with a second secondary winding between the second input node and the second output node, the second power converter path operative to convey second current between the second input node and second output node;
- and
- a first transformer including the second primary winding and the first secondary winding, wherein the second primary winding is inductively coupled to the first secondary winding.
