Electronic circuitry, power converter, and driving method

A power converter comprising:

• a half-bridge circuit including two switching elements;
• and
• a first drive circuit and a second drive circuit configured to control the two switching elements, respectively, in accordance with a control signal instructing a turn-off operation or a turn-on operation,
• wherein each of the first drive circuit and the second drive circuit includes:
• a voltage detection circuit configured to detect an output voltage of the switching element controlled by the drive circuit;
• a controller configured to compare, in a transition period of the turn-off operation or the turn-on operation, the output voltage with a first reference voltage determined in accordance with a power voltage, and determine, based on a comparison result, a first current value or a second current value having an absolute value smaller than an absolute value of the first current value and a direction same as a direction of the first current value;
• and
• a current supply circuit configured to supply a drive current to the switching element based on the first current value or the second current value determined by the controller.

A driving method comprising:

• detecting an output voltage of a switching element controlled in accordance with a control signal instructing a turn-off operation or a turn-on operation;
• comparing, in a transition period of the turn-off operation or the turn-on operation, the output voltage with a first reference voltage determined in accordance with a power voltage, and determining, based on a comparison result, a first current value or a second current value having an absolute value smaller than an absolute value of the first current value and a direction same as a direction of the first current value;
• and
• supplying a drive current to the switching element based on the first current value or the second current value.
