An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is presented. The UPS includes a first input configured to receive first DC power; a second input configured to receive second DC power; an output configured to provide a first output DC power to a load; and a power train including at least one energy-storage interface configured to be coupled to an energy-storage device, the power train being coupled to the first input, the second input, and the output, and being configured to direct at least a portion of the first DC power from the first input to the output to provide the first output DC power to the load, and direct, via the at least one energy-storage interface, the second DC power as a second output DC power to the energy-storage device.
