Abstract

A wireless communication system built in a battery pack of a vehicle is provided. The wireless communication system includes: a battery management device including an antenna and a cable that each emit a first radio signal into space, the antenna and the cable each outputting a reception signal based on a second radio signal propagated through the space; and a plurality of battery data devices provided in one-to-one correspondence to a plurality of battery modules included in the battery pack, the battery data devices being capable of wirelessly communicating with the battery management device via the antenna or the cable. The battery management device attenuates or cuts off the reception signal from the cable when wirelessly communicating with the battery data device via the antenna.
