Energy storage system and power source apparatus

An energy storage system, comprising a general positive line, a general negative line, and a battery module connected between the general positive line and the general negative line, wherein:

• the energy storage system is configured to output electric energy from the battery module by means of the general positive line and the general negative line, and/or, the energy storage system is configured to input electric energy to the battery module by means of the general positive line and the general negative line;
• the battery module comprises M battery assemblies connected in series;
• the energy storage system further comprises N supporting members, in which, the M battery assemblies are supported by means of the N supporting members, and the M battery assemblies are insulated from the N supporting members;
• the energy storage system further comprises a conductive path, in which, K supporting members among the N supporting members are connected to the conductive path by means of K branches, respectively, M, N, and K are all positive integers, and M≥N≥K>1;
• and
• a protection assembly is arranged on the conductive path and/or the branches.
