Abstract
A grounding system for a solar power generation facility that includes a plurality of solar panels and a plurality of conductive piles includes a number of conductive mounting assemblies, each of the conductive mounting assemblies including a cable coupling and being structured to be coupled to a respective one of the conductive piles, and a cable. Each cable coupling is structured to engage and clamp the cable, each of the conductive mounting assemblies is structured to support a number of current wires connected to one or more of the solar panels, and the cable and each cable coupling has a conductivity level that is greater than a conductivity level of steel or galvanized steel.

A grounding system for a solar power generation facility that includes a plurality of solar panels and a plurality of conductive piles, the grounding system comprising:
- a number of conductive mounting assemblies, each of the conductive mounting assemblies including a cable coupling and being structured to be coupled to a respective one of the conductive piles;
- and
- a cable;
- wherein each cable coupling is structured to engage and clamp the cable, wherein each of the conductive mounting assemblies is structured to support a number of current wires connected to one or more of the solar panels, and wherein the cable and each cable coupling has a conductivity level that is greater than a conductivity level of steel or galvanized steel.
A grounding system for a solar power generation facility that includes a plurality of solar panels and a plurality of conductive piles, the grounding system comprising:
- a number of conductive mounting assemblies, each of the conductive mounting assemblies including a cable coupling and being coupled to a respective one of the conductive piles;
- and
- a cable;
- wherein the cable coupling of each conductive mounting assembly is engaged with and clamped to the cable, wherein each conductive mounting assembly supports a number of current wires connected to one or more of the solar panels, and wherein the cable and each of the cable couplings has a conductivity level that is greater than a conductivity level of steel or galvanized steel.
A conductive mounting assembly for a solar power generation facility that includes a plurality of solar panels and a plurality of conductive piles, comprising:
- a mounting body structured to be coupled to one of the conductive piles;
- and
- a cable coupling coupled to the mounting body, the cable coupling being structured to engage and clamp a cable, wherein the conductive mounting assembly is structured to support a number of current wires connected to one or more of the solar panels, and wherein the cable coupling has a conductivity level that is greater than a conductivity level of steel or galvanized steel to enable the cable and the cable coupling to form at least a part of a grounded current path for the solar power generation facility.
