Abstract
A fish stick includes a light emitting component, such as a lighted tip, near the leading end of the fish stick. The lighted tip includes a curved lens that directs some light around an attachment piece at the end of the fish stick and generally in 0the forward direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the fish stick. The fish stick may be made of a phosphorescent material and stored in a lit container with an LED and reflective surfaces. The fish stick may be made of multiple rods that are threadably engaged with each other and include a spring biasing element that increases the coefficient of friction between the threads of the rods. The fish stick may also be made of multiple rods that are threadably engaged with each other via collars.
Claims20
A fish stick for routing cables comprising:
- a lighted component;
- a first rod comprising:
- a first end coupled to the lighted component, the first end comprising a first indicia of stiffness;
- a second end opposing the first end;
- and
- a body portion positioned between the first end and the second end;
- wherein the first indicia of stiffness indicates a stiffness of the body portion of the first rod;
- and
- wherein the body portion comprises a phosphorescent material.
A fish stick for routing cables comprising:
- a lighted tip;
- a first rod comprising:
- a first end coupled to the lighted tip;
- a second end opposing the first end, the second end comprising a first indicia of stiffness;
- and
- a body portion positioned between the first end and the second end;
- wherein the first indicia of stiffness indicates a stiffness of the body portion of the first rod;
- and
- wherein the body portion comprises a phosphorescent material.
A fish stick for routing cables comprising:
- a lighted tip;
- a rod comprising:
- a first end coupled to the lighted tip;
- a second end opposing the first end;
- and
- a body portion positioned between the first end and the second end;
- an indicia of stiffness positioned on at least one of the first end and the second end;
- wherein the indicia of stiffness indicates a stiffness of the body portion of the rod;
- and
- wherein the body portion comprises a phosphorescent material.
