This application relates to a cordless power tool system including a set of cordless power tools, a set of rechargeable and removable battery packs, and a set of battery pack chargers.

A power tool system comprising:
- a first battery pack including a first battery pack translating latch;
- a second battery pack including a second battery pack translating latch;
- and
- a power tool, comprising;
- a housing;
- and
- a battery receptacle formed in the housing or coupled to the housing, the battery receptacle capable of receiving the first battery pack or the second battery pack, the battery receptacle comprising a multi-latch mechanism including a first lateral recess arranged to engage the first battery pack translating latch when receiving the first battery pack and a second lateral recess arranged to engage the second battery pack translating latch when receiving the second battery pack.
